Messy Church

What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is a different way of doing church. It started in Britain over 10 years ago and has spread to over 2000 locations around the world. It's a great way of bringing families closer together and bringing everyone closer to Jesus.
Who is Messy Church for?
Anyone can come, of any age and at any stage on your journey of faith. It’s a lovely way for parents and children to spend time together! We expect children to be accompanied by an adult.
What happens?
There will be:

The idea is that everyone joins in everything: there are no separate adults' and children's activities.
When and where does it happen?
Finmere School - at the moment, Messy Church happens once a term at Finmere School from 3 pm to no later than 5.30 pm. (Children from Finmere’s After School Club are welcome to take part, as long as they have their parents / guardians’ permission). Families don’t have to be connected with Finmere School, and are welcome from any part of the Benefice! We understand that if coming from elsewhere you will arrive later than 3 pm – we just ask that you get there as soon as you can! Dates for 2020 are Tuesday 10th March (theme: Joseph) and Tuesday 16th June (theme: Jonah!)

Messy Sunday - from September to December, we will be starting a new Messy Church on Sunday afternoons from 4 – 6 pm on the 1st Sunday of the month! Check here for details!
What does it cost?
Messy Church is free and you do not have to pay anything. However, we rely on donations from parents / guardians to cover the cost of food and materials. We reckon it costs about £3 a child. There will be an opportunity to donate at each Messy Church.
