The Church of Holy Trinity, Godington is a member of the Shelswell group of parishes.
Godington is a small hamlet and the church of Holy Trinity is to be found to the left, at the end of the road leading into the hamlet.
It is possible that the origin of the name 'Godington' is based upon 'Goda's hill', or also referred to as 'hill of God's people'.
